get away with it, would they steal money out of your wallet? The crooks
would steal it.But assuming ethanol is a legal mandate your case is a little more
complicated. You're presented with an opportunity to recover for what
you perceive as damage stemming from fuel with alcohol you are forced
to use. While your situation is more nuanced, your motive and
contemplated action is still that of a thief. (If only we could pick and choose the laws and benefits our government
metes out. I think about this ever time I pay my taxes.) For the time being we live in a society of great wealth, opportunity and
personal freedom built in no small part on a bedrock of honest behavior.
How would things be different if the vast majority of us were crooks
instead? IMHO your energy will be better spent changing the dominant political
philosophy that foisted ethanol upon us (e.g. by educating your friends
and associates) rather than ripping off the system that produced the life
you enjoy. And the people who pay the bill for it, which after all is
everyone who works for a living.
